TO THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS
O JESUS, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
I offer You my prayers, works, joys and sufferings
of this day for all the intentions of Your Sacred
Heart, in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the
Mass throughout the world, for the salvation of
souls, the reparation of my sins and those of the
whole world, the reuniting of all Christians,
the intentions of our Holy Father
for this month and for my special intentions (mention your intentions). Amen
TO THE MOST HOLY TRINITY
MOST HOLY and ADORABLE TRINITY, ONE
GOD IN THREE PERSONS, I firmly believe
that You are here present; I adore You
with the most profound humility; I praise
You and give You thanks with all my heart
for the favors You have bestowed on me.
Your Goodness has brought me safely to the
beginning of this day. Behold, O Lord, I offer
You my whole being and in particular all my
thoughts, words and actions, together with
such crosses and contradictions as I may meet
with in the course of this day. Give them, O
Lord, Your blessing; may Your divine Love animate
them and may they lend to the greater honor and
glory of Your Sovereign Majesty. Amen
PRAYER TO THE HOLY SPIRIT
COME, HOLY SPIRIT, fill the hearts of Your faithful
and kindle in them the fire of Your love.
V. Send forth Your Spirit, and they shall be created.
R. And You shall renew the face of the earth.
Let us pray
O God, Who taught the hearts of the faithful by
the light of the Holy Spirit, grant that, by the gift of the
same Spirit, we may be always truly wise and ever rejoice in
His consolation. In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen
PRAYER TO ALL THE SAINTS
MAY HOLY MARY and all the Saints intercede for us
with the Lord, that we may worthily be succoured
and preserved by Him. Who lives and reigns for ever.
Let us pray
O Lord God, King of Heaven and earth, vouchsafe
this day to direct and sanctify, to rule and govern
our hearts and bodies, our thoughts, words and deeds,
according to Your law and in the works of Your
commandments; that here and forever, O Savior of the
world, we may be protected and saved, through Your
mighty help. Who lives and reigns forever. Amen
THE GUARDIAN ANGEL PRAYER
ANGEL OF GOD,
my guardian dear,
to whom Godís love
commits me here.
Ever this day (night)
be at my side
to light and guard,
rule and guide. Amen
ACT OF CONSECRATION TO THE
SACRED HEART OF JESUS
By Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque
I give myself and consecrate to the Sacred Heart of our Lord Jesus Christ, my person
and my life, my actions, pains and sufferings, so that I may be unwilling to make
use of any part of my being other than to honor, love and glorify His Sacred Heart.
This is my unchanging purpose, namely, to be all His, and to do all things for the
love of Him, at the same time renouncing with all my heart whatever is displeasing
to Him. I therefore take You, O Sacred Heart, to be the only object of my love, the
guardian of my life, my assurance of salvation, the remedy of my weakness and
inconstancy, the atonement for all the faults of my life and my sure refuge at the
hour of death.
Be then, O Heart of goodness, my justification before God the Father, and turn away
from me the strokes of his righteous anger. O Heart of love, I put all my confidence
in You, for I fear everything from my own wickedness and frailty, but I hope for all
things from Your goodness and bounty. Remove from me all that can displease You or
resist Your holy will; let your pure love imprint Your image so deeply upon my
heart, that I shall never be able to forget You or to be separated from You.
May I obtain from all Your loving kindness the grace of having my name written in
Your Heart, for in You I desire to place all my happiness and glory, living and
dying in bondage to You. Amen
PRAYER OF CONSECRATION TO THE
IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY
Queen of the most Holy Rosary, and tender Mother
of all people, I consecrate myself to your Immaculate
Heart, and recommend to you my family, my country, and
the whole human race. Please accept my consecration,
dearest Mother, and use me as you wish, to accomplish your
designs upon the world. O Immaculate Heart of Mary, Queen
of Heaven and earth, rule over me, and teach me how to
allow the Heart of Jesus to rule and triumph in me and
around me, as it has ruled and triumphed in You. Amen
O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who recourse to Thee. (Recite three times)
PRAYER TO SAINT JOSEPH
O Saint Joseph, whose protection is so great, so strong, so
prompt before the throne of God. I place in you all my
interests and desires. O Saint Joseph, do assist me by
your powerful intercession, and obtain for me from your
divine Son all spiritual blessings, through Jesus Christ,
our Lord. So that, having engaged here below your heavenly
power, I may offer my thanksgiving and homage to the most
loving of Fathers.
O Saint Joseph, I never weary of contemplating you, and
Jesus asleep in your arms; I dare not approach while He
reposes near your heart. Press Him in my name and kiss
His fine head for me and ask him to return the kiss when I
draw my dying breath.
O Saint Joseph, hear my prayers and obtain my petitions.
O Saint Joseph, pray for me.
(Mention your intention)
PRAYER TO THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS
O Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, pour down
Thy blessings abundantly upon Thy Church;
upon the Supreme Pontiff, and upon all the
clergy; give perseverance to the just; convert
sinners; enlighten unbelievers; bless our parents,
friends, and benefactors; help the dying; free the
souls in purgatory; and extend over all hearts
the sweet empire of Thy love. Amen
O Sacred Heart of Jesus,
have mercy on us. (Recite three times)
PRAYER TO SAINT MICHAEL
Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection
against the wickedness
and snares of the devil.
Repress him O God,
we humbly pray;
and do thou, O Prince
of the Heavenly Host,
by the divine power conferred upon you,
cast into hell and chain satan
and all the evil spirits for ever,
who roam throughout the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen

same Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Our Father, Who Art In Heaven
Hallowed By Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come,
Thy Will be done
On earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
Liberate us from all temptation[*]
And deliver us from all evil. Amen
[*] Liberate us is in keeping with the original Latin text.
God never "leads us" to temptation, but gives us the grace to overcome and/or resist it
Hail Mary, full of grace
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art though among [all*] women,
And blessed is the fruit
Of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God
Pray for us sinners
Now, and in the hour
Of our death. Amen
[*] all women: in the Latin text, the word mulieribus means all women.
I believe in God, the Father Almighty
Creator of Heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ, His Only Son, our Lord;
Who was conceived by the [work and grace of the] Holy Ghost,[*]
Born of the Virgin Mary,
Suffered under Pontius Pilate,
Was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended into the Dead.[**]
On the third day, He rose again;
He ascended into Heaven,
And sits at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty.
From thence he shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Ghost,[*]
The Holy Catholic Church,
The communion of saints,
The forgiveness of sins.
The resurrection of the body,
And life everlasting. Amen
[*] Holy Ghost: may be substituted with the current Holy Spirit.
[**] the Dead: "inferi", the underworld or the dead in Latin.
